You have found a plaque bearing the strange runes of Falgeirr Twisttongue, author of the papers you found in Katub-zahar. When translated, they read as follows:
I can sizzle like bacon; I am made with an egg,
I have plenty of backbone, but lack a good leg,
I peel layers like onions, but still remain whole,
I can be long, like a flag-pole, yet fit in a small holes.
What am I?
Falgeirr Twisttongue was a dwarf with a perchant for riddles. He left messages for his descendants in his personal papers, which you found in the library of the Great Delving.

The plaque with the snake on it is located along the path to the south towards The Waterworks.
Instead of going into the waterworks, stay left and follow the path northeast to 12.1S, 111.3W.
